Greetings! And welcome to the next generation of colour icons!
Well, System 7.0 is only months away (or so we’re told), and new icon-colourization INITs like SunDesk are being released that take advantage of the new colour icon formats that Finder 7.0 will support. With that in mind, Immedium Design is releasing colour icons in the new icl8 format so you can get started colourizing your Finder *now*, without waiting for System 7.0. Using SunDesk or Icon Colorizer, you can display these full-color icons on and Macintosh equipped with color QuickDraw, including the Mac SE/30, Mac II, Mac IIx, Mac IIcx, Mac IIci, Mac IIfx, Mac LC, and Mac IIsi, and which has a color or grey-scale display capable of displaying at least 256 shades of color.
Producing these icons and maintaining them has proven to be a lot of work. If you like these icons, feel that they enhance your computing environment, then help support further development. Send $15 to the address below, and you will receive a floppy disk with ALL current Immedium colour icons (including hundreds not available on any online service), as well as the most current version of SunDesk, as well as some other goodies. You’ll also get first crack at the upgraded versions of these icons when System 7.0 finally ships, and first word of other cool Immedium Design interface tools. It’s really a pretty good deal, especially when you consider the amount you’d spend downloading all the individual files.
